The Foucaultian archaeological method in Giorgo Agamben

Agamben has claimed to work inside the tradition inaugurated by the archaeological method of Michel Foucault but not to fully coincide with it. “My method is archaeological and paradigmatic in a sense which is very close to that of Foucault, but not completely coincident with it. The question is, facing the dichotomies that structuralize our culture, to go beyond the exceptions that have been producing the former, however, not to find a chronologically originary state, but to be able to understand the situation in which we are. The use of pervasive networked devices is nowadays a reality in the service sector. It impacts almost all aspects of our daily lives, although most times we are not aware of its influence. This is a fundamental characteristic of the concept of Ambient Intelligence (AmI). Ambient Intelligence aims to change the form of human-computer interaction, focusing on the user needs so they can interact in a more seamless way, with emphasis on greater user-friendliness. The idea of recognizing people and their context situation is not new and has been successfully applied with limitations, for instance, in the health and military sectors. However its appearance in the manufacturing industry has been elusive. Escala de satisfação com o suporte social (ESSS)

O objectivo é construir uma escala de avaliação da satisfação com o suporte social recebido. Assume-se que o suporte social percebido tem um papel importante na saúde e no bem-estar tanto das pessoas sem doença, como nas que estão em recuperação ou vivem com uma doença. Recorreu-se a uma amostra de jovens sem doença, 47% homens. Construiu-se uma escala com 15 itens, com resposta tipo likert, com base na validade de conteúdo de cada item para avaliarem a satisfação com o suporte social proveniente de várias fontes, e com as actividades sociais. A escala inclui quatro sub-escalas com valores de consistência interna variando entre 0,64 e 0,83, com um valor de 0,85 para a escala total. Inspeccionou-se a validade discriminante dos itens e a validade concorrente com medidas associadas à saúde tanto pela positiva como pela negativa, tendo-se encontrado valores que confirmam a validade da escala para avaliar a percepção de suporte social em contextos de saúde.ABSTRACT: The objective is to create a scale to evaluate the satisfaction with the social support received. It is assumed that the social support received plays an important role in health and well being, both in healthy people, those recuperating or those living with a disease. A sample of young healthy people, 47% males, was used. A scale with 15 items was built, with Likert type response, with a basis on content validity of each item, in order to evaluate the level of satisfaction regarding the social support received from different sources, and with social activities. The scale includes four sub-scales with internal consistency values varying between 0,64 and 0,83, with a value of 0,85 for the total scale. The discriminating validity as well as the concurrent validity of the items was analysed with measures related to health, both on the positive as well as the negative side. O bem-estar e o envolvimento da criança em contexto de creche

Relatório de Estágio apresentado para a obtenção do grau de Mestre em Educação Pré-Escolar e em Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico.Este relatório de estágio decorre da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada do Mestrado de Educação Pré-escolar e Ensino do 1º ciclo do Ensino Básico. Além da apresentação dos três estágios realizados em contextos de creche, jardim-de-infância e 1º ciclo do Ensino Básico, este relatório contempla uma componente investigativa referente aos níveis de bem-estar e de envolvimento apresentado por duas crianças (em contexto de creche) durante a exploração de diferentes materiais didáticos. O estudo é de natureza qualitativa na modalidade de estudo de caso. A análise dos dados é baseada nas escalas de bem-estar e de envolvimento criadas por Ferre Laevers. Os resultados revelaram que o facto de conhecerem ou não os materiais não influencia o envolvimento das crianças durante a sua exploração. Além disso, verifica-se que as características individuais das crianças não foram um fator diferenciador dos seus níveis de envolvimento. O percurso realizado e as conclusões obtidas foram fundamentais para o meu desenvolvimento profissional.This internship report stems from the practice of Supervised Education of the master of pre-school education and teaching of the first cycle of basic education. In addition to the presentation of three stages performed in contexts of nursery school, kindergarten and 1st cycle of basic education, this report includes a research component for the levels of well-being and involvement shown by two children (in context of nursery school) during the exploration of different didactic materials. The study is qualitative in nature in the form of case study. The data analysis is based on the scales of well-being and involvement created by Ferre Laevers. The results revealed that the fact of knowing whether or not the materials does not influence the involvement of children during their exploitation. Moreover, it shows that the individual characteristics of children were not a differentiating factor of its levels of involvement. Redução de riscos, estilos de vida junkie e controlo social

Neste artigo propomos uma leitura do significado das estratégias de redução de riscos, à luz das exigências de normalização em torno do estilo de vida junkie. Partindo dos consensos convencionais na comunidade científica sobre a definição, as origens e as características da redução de riscos, reproblematizamo-los com base no que a caracterização etnográfica do mundo junkie nos autoriza a dizer. Concluímos com uma chamada de atenção acerca das contradições e paradoxos que encerram as práticas heterogéneas da redução de riscos, o que não as impede de funcionar como ponto de convergência de protagonistas múltiplos da intervenção nas drogas e de actores variados dos mundos urbanos desviantes.In this article we propose to interpret the significance of risk-reduction strategies in the light of demands to impose social control on the junkie lifestyle. Taking the scientific community’s conventional consensuses on the definition, origins and characteristics of risk reduction as our starting point, we re-problematize them as far as is possible on the basis of the elements provided by an ethnographic characterisation of the junkie world. We conclude by calling attention to the contradictions and paradoxes to which heterogeneous risk-reduction practises are subject, but which do not prevent those practises from functioning as a point of convergence for both a whole range of protagonists in the drugs field and a variety of players from urban deviant milieus.Cet article propose une lecture de la signification des stratégies de réduction des risques à la lumière des exigences de normalisation autour du style de vie junkie. En partant des consensus conventionnels de la communauté scientifique sur la définition, les origines et les caractéristiques de la réduction des risques, l’article les problématise sur la base autorisée par la caractérisation ethnographique du monde junkie. Il conclut en attirant l’attention sur les contradictions et les paradoxes des pratiques hétérogènes de la réduction des risques, ce qui ne les empêche pas de fonctionner comme point de convergence de multiples acteurs de l’intervention dans le domaine des drogues mais aussi dans les mondes urbains déviants.En este artículo proponemos una lectura del significado de las estrategias de reducción de riesgos a la luz de las exigencias de normalización en torno del estilo de vida junkie. Partiendo de los consensos convencionales de la comunidad científica sobre la definición, los orígenes y las características de la reducción de riesgos, analizamos nuevamente la problemática basándonos en la caracterización etnográfica del mundo junkie.
